As you may know, Sitmatic works with a handful of charities to help children in need. Well we've found another one! The Toy Loan Program allows children to borrow toys from a Toy Loan Center in the same manner in which they borrow books from the public library. The children borrow toys once a week, after 20 weeks of returning the toys in good condition the children are eligible to receive a toy of their choice TO KEEP.

The Toy Loan Program was started by the L.A. County Department of Social Services in 1935 and is now struggling with the number of donations dropping from 6,353 toys in 2008 to 2,874 toys in 2009, while the number of children served climbing from 5,351 in 2008 to 6,756 in 2009.

This month, Sitmatic has donated over 300 Beanie Babies to the Toy Loan Program and is asking that everyone help out, if possible. Cash and toy donations are accepted. Toys should be in good condition, working properly, and complete. Watch the video below to learn more.

The representatives have literally been screaming for years for us to develop an oversized tablet arm for the Tuxedo series. Today the wait is officially OVER.

It is however important that we clarify a few apparent misconceptions...

The oversized tablet is designed to hold big laptops it IS NOT TO BE USED AS A LAP!

It is also not to be used for lap dancing (picture withheld, sorry!)

Bodies come in all different sizes.

Some bodies are long of leg and short of body.

Some bodies are just the opposite. Frequently this type of body has Achondroplasia.

Achondroplasia is a bone growth disorder that causes 70% of the cases of dwarfism. It is characterized by limbs that are disproportionately short compared to the persons trunk. Sitmatic Labs have developed the most comfortable armpad EVER! (See recipe above) OK so that's not really how we make them, but it sure feels like it, and I don't think Peeps are edible. These remarkable pads are replacing our standard +1A/+1N armpads at NO CHARGE. The chair gods are smiling down on you :) No Peeps were hurt in the making of this blog post.

Despite its previously announced retirement plans, Omninfic™ wants back in. Undoubtedly a legend in this industry, Omnific has just been reinstated by the commish for one last go-round. How long will this comeback last? Only time will tell. But for now series 79 is back!

We tried and tried to make the Mesh Back an option on the Posh Operational but it did not seem to make sense in pricing so we made a new model number for the chair and made it less expensive!!

So this is the way it works... in a Category 2 fabric, the Posh Mesh is $180 list more than a comparably configured Posh Mid Back with the Full Seat. As you go higher in the fabric categories, the price differential gets smaller since the upcharge for higher grade fabrics is applied only to the seat and not the back.

So here is how the new model number breaks down:

We will offer the Posh Mesh with all the same mechanism options as the rest of the Posh Operational line, EZ - EZ Tilt, SB - Basic Synchron, SY - Advanced Synchron.

The Posh Mesh has been completely stripped!

All the feedback from NeoCon 2009 has been evaluated and the Posh Mesh has been stripped down to undergo final tweaks for it's debut in August. We will have pictures in the near future but Posh Mesh is a little to modest to be shot in her current attire (see through is one thing, naked quite another).

A national bank recently called us to see if we made a super large scale four legged stool... We told them no, but gave them several companies to call that might be able to help. Shortly thereafter they called again and asked if we would please apply some of our custom chair magic to their requirement.

Of course we would!

Posh Mesh is what the people want!

We will keep the polls open here, but so far the overwhelming, undisputed, master blaster of new chair lust is the Posh Mesh!

This burning desire has manifested itself into an incredible 82% of the vote (even better than the Guardian Council claims that Ahmadinejad did).

The Posh Mesh is firmly entrenched in the "most important things to get done", but it is certainly not the only thing. The Tuxedo over-sized tablet and the new Tuxedo contours are also polling very well...

I am listening and will continue to report on the results as they come in. I will also update you as to the progress on these projects, for instance, the final frame modification for the Posh Mesh should be complete by the end of next week, final upholstery patterns will soon follow and then we will be ready to start sending samples out to the reps...

Sitmatic had a chair "drawing" at our booth at NeoCon WTF (World's Trade Fair, not what you were thinking).

The only drawing to be selected by the judges for the Grand Prize of two free Whisper Chairs was the submission by Bridget Wilson of Interior Investments with her "Hero Chair".
