Well we've found another one! The Toy Loan Program allows children to borrow toys from a Toy Loan Center in the same manner in which they borrow books from the public library. The children borrow toys once a week, after 20 weeks of returning the toys in good condition the children are eligible to receive a toy of their choice TO KEEP.

The Toy Loan Program was started by the L.A. County Department of Social Services in 1935 and is now struggling with the number of donations dropping from 6,353 toys in 2008 to 2,874 toys in 2009, while the number of children served climbing from 5,351 in 2008 to 6,756 in 2009.

This month, Sitmatic has donated over 300 Beanie Babies to the Toy Loan Program and is asking that everyone help out, if possible. Cash and toy donations are accepted. Toys should be in good condition, working properly, and complete. I’m pleased to report first hand, that Master Tailor Derek Ellington has successfully completed the job!

The new Tuxedo has been improved both visibly and “beneath the skin.” Your eyes will immediately notice the sculpted seat and back, and your body will recognize the amazing comfort created by our Pressure Cast™ molded foam. Look a bit closer and you’ll see the crisply tailored upholstery and the deeper seat.

The best news? Our new full size tablet arm! It’s engineered to be durable, and accommodate the largest of laptops while stowing away unobtrusively when not in use. The exposed Baltic birch edge adds an element of design and visually confirms the strength of the new tablet arm.

Try on our Tuxedo in one of your facilities!

Victory Lap!

The representatives have literally been screaming for years for us to develop an oversized tablet arm for the Tuxedo series. Frequently this type of body has Achondroplasia.

Achondroplasia is a bone growth disorder that causes 70% of the cases of dwarfism. It is characterized by limbs that are disproportionately short compared to the persons trunk. Making chairs to accommodate these individuals is not as simple as making a small chair for a small person. The chair must be tailored for the specific dimensions of the individual. Sitmatic understands the process and has the technical expertise to produce the product.

Have a hard to fit employee? Got a special needs or back to work issue? The chair gods are smiling down on you :) No Peeps were hurt in the making of this blog post.

The suspense is killing me!

Dum dum duuuuum.

accordion to Erasmus

The new installation page for Erasmus is up, check it out here The other installation pages are being converted now, I'll keep you informed. - Websta

BREAKING NEWS: OMNIFIC REINSTATED!

Stop me if you've heard this one...
Despite its previously announced retirement plans, Omninfic™ wants back in. As you go higher in the fabric categories, the price differential gets smaller since the upcharge for higher grade fabrics is applied only to the seat and not the back.

So here is how the new model number breaks down:
552
5 (posh operational) 5 (mesh back) 2 (full seat)

We will offer the Posh Mesh with all the same mechanism options as the rest of the Posh Operational line, EZ - EZ Tilt, SB - Basic Synchron, SY - Advanced Synchron.

"Well, here's another nice mess you've gotten me into." - Oliver Hardy
"Well this is some damn fine mesh I'm getting you into" - Websta

Posh Mesh...
