Can the simple folding chair be improved? Great designers rise to the challenge of taking everyday objects, objects that we take for granted, and giving them added functionality and beauty. Ottavio Di Blasi is such a designer. Originally from the Studio of Renzo Piano, his firm, ODB Design has worked for clients including Renault, TAG/Heuer, and Sitmatic. For us, he has developed Whisper, an 11 lb., indestructible revisioning of the folding chair. Now every well designed folding chair should quietly fold by simply lifting it.
